Columbus Underground: Kolache Republic Opening Retail Store

January 15, 2013

When we first found out about Kolache Republic way back in November of 2011, we learned not just what a Kolache even is (a puff pastry of Eastern European decent that can be either sweet or savory) but also that this local mobile business had plans to eventually become a brick-and-mortar store. This April, their vision becomes a reality as Kolache Republic opens their doors at 730 South High Street, on the southern end of The Brewery District...

Breakfast with Nick: Kolache Republic

August 3, 2013

It’s an exciting time for food in Columbus. New restaurants and carts and tours and breweries and bars are opening all the time. (If you need to find me at one of these weddings, chances are I’ll be lingering by this table.)...

Columbus Underground: Restaurant Review

September 25, 2013

The Kolache is a Texas thing. Who knew?

Okay, it’s not really Texan, it’s Czech — but the baked good is popular in popular in parts of Texas, it comes to Columbus by way of a trio who discovered it in Texas… and the thought that the Taco State is also the Kolache State is just all sorts of interesting...
